Ponds and Farms Near Mt. Fuji, Brocade, Muted Red/Gray Vintage Kimono WOOL By the Yard #110

The red leans towards orange, and is muted with light gray from the weave, with scattered elements such as leaves and flowers, in pastel silvery lavender. The images are streams, ponds, water flowers, bamboo, swirling currents. This wool or wool blend is thin and light, soft for wool, and supple, with a bit of drape and a bit of body.  From a distance it reads as mostly muted red, sometimes towards coral depending on the lighting. It's a brocade weave; see the photo of the back. Vintage fabric from the bolt, never used and in excellent condition. It may be pure wool, but It weighs less than 3 ounces per 14" wide yard, which is pretty light for wool, and it's smoother and softer than most pure wool. We're guessing partly silk. Japan. 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in a continuous piece.
