    • RETURNS:  Please contact us if you would like a return or exchange.  We accept returns and exchanges of most full price buttons, and most fabrics, within 30 days. Fabrics we cut for you from the bolt by the yard may be subject to a restocking fee. Fabrics that have been washed or sewn are not returnable. Customer pays return shipping unless it was our error. 

    • U.S. SHIPPING: $4.00 Flat Rate Shipping via USPS First Class Mail. Free shipping for US orders over $50.00, via USPS or UPS. We normally ship 1-3 days of your order, or as soon as possible depending on how many orders are ahead of yours. When your order ships you'll receive tracking information via email. If you need your order very soon, call or email us and we'll try to help. 

    • INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: YES, We ship to most countries and the shipping cost estimate will be shown to you at checkout. BUT, it's usually higher than the actual shipping rate once a real human packs and weighs the package. If that's the case and it usually is, we will send you a partial refund. 
    • The customer is responsible for any additional customs duties or taxes assessed at the time that the goods are delivered to the customer.
    •  We use the actual cost you paid, on customs forms.  

    • TECHNICAL PROBLEMS:  Occasionally, older Macs, Iphones or browsers such as older Safari or Mojave versions may not work properly with our website, (and many other websites). If you have a problem checking out, try re-booting, using another phone or computer, or call us so we can try to help and/or take your order by phone. 

    • SHIPPING ADDRESS ERRORS:  DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ADDRESS PLEASE; typos can be costly! The shipping address is automatically generated from exactly what YOU type for your address. If we need to re-ship because that address was a mistake on your part, you'll need to pay the second shipping fee no matter what the value of the order. ($4 flat rate and free for over $50 does not apply if there was a shipping problem resulting in a re-shipment). If a shipping problem was our mistake resulting in a re-shipment, we'll pay the second shipping fee.
    • NEW ITEMS: We are constantly - weekly and sometimes daily, adding inventory, so don't stay away for long. See "New Arrivals" for the latest.  

    • PAYMENTS: Buy online through this secure site, using credit card or PayPal. 

    • STOREFRONT: We do not have a retail store. We're online only.   

    • SALES: The Button Bird News will let you know of any sales; sign up below. To see our latest arrivals, check the New Arrivals page on this website first. Check regularly, rather than wait for Button Bird News email, as we add new items weekly and sometimes daily.  

    • NATURALNESS:  Many of our offerings are vintage, One of a Kind, created from natural materials, hand made, and/or from small studios or workrooms, rather than huge factories. We attempt to buy from high quality suppliers but there still may be variance and imperfection, or age-related problems with vintage items. We'll try to note any inherent issues in the descriptions we write, and in the photos. 

    • UNIQUENESS: Availability may be temporary for any number of reasons, mainly because so much of what we have is one of a kind or in short supply.  If you love it, buy it now.

    • PHOTOS: We work hard for excellent photography but there's always the risk of your screen showing colors differently than ours. Some fabrics with unique dyes, processes and textures don't photograph well. Ask for a swatch!
    • WHOLESALE: We do our best to give volume buyers a discount, so please send us a note and we'll try to help.
