Black/White/Red Vintage Silk Kimono Kasuri Ikat Crepe from Japan, 14" x 44" #ZP-33

The black seems darkest blue depending on the light; look again and it's black again. The white is barely off white, a bit towards gray, not yellow in our opinion.  The red is bright, like zipping red birds fleeting through. It's a crepe weave, drapey, a bit pebble-textured, light, supple, thin and flowy. A true ikat, both sides are just the same.  Vintage or older, pieces from a former kimono. This silk is in very good condition; we see no issues. The black is even and consistent, with no fading. The white ikat shapes are each a bit different, and intentionally blurry like meisen.  Artisan crepe, 100% Silk. Japan.
