Supple and flowy, lightweight liquid drape silk like this is why some us are so silk-obsessed. This one seems quite old, maybe older than vintage, perhaps 1950's? The art looks hand-painted, with rows of thin stripes, breaking and almost touching every 6 inches or so. Both sides are usable and it may just be a matter of choice; the art is stronger on one side and the other has a slight sheen. Soft, lustrous, sumptuous, possibly a very fine crepe weave; it's hard to tell. And what a color! 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the vintage, never used bolt that was carefully stored. Excellent condition 100% Silk. Japan.
