Cranes/Bamboo Bingata on Ecru Chirimen Crepe Vintage Kimono Silk Piece 6" x 31" #109

Lots of navy in the bingata print of cranes, maple leaves, flowers, bamboo leaves, a stream and a water wheel. The background is creamy off white ecru. The silk is lightweight, supple, flowy, very drapey, with a subtle chirimen crepe texture. The back is similar; much of the color comes through but not as crisp. It's probably a true hand stenciled bingata; if you can find a matching element, the dyeing is similar but not exactly the same. These are pieces from a kimono that has been taken apart. Excellent condition. 100% Silk. Japan.

Photos show the full 14" width but this piece is narrower and has one selvedge down the 31" length; the other edge is cut.
