Orange, dark red, yellow, green, blue and black and probably more colors combine in this gorgeous 'ikat stripe' silk. The reds and wines contrast with the orange. Mid-light weight, thin silk is supple but not quite drapey and has a bit of body. No shine, no drape, no sleekness, no crispness. In Japan they sometimes call this type of weave Kasuri Stripe. One yard only weighs 2 ounces but it looks heavier. This silk is in perfect condition from the carefully stored, never used, vintage bolt. Looks like homespun. Back is the same. Wonderful colors. 100% Silk. Japan.
