Remnant, Deep Teal Crinkly Bouncy Stiff Unusual Cotton/Hemp/Nylon Vintage Kimono Fabric from Japan 14" X 56" #721
Water plants, tendrils and currents in the stream. The print is dark teal with the plants in lighter grayish teal, and it comes through to the back as well, so both sides are the same. No shine at all, and a wonderful, unusual feel softer than cotton. Thin and light, about 1.5 ounces per 14"-wide yard, very bouncy, with lots of body, and holds a stiff crease. It's a bit sheer when held up to the light. We machine washed and dried a piece cold/warm, and it shrunk about 10% each way and softened a lot. It didn't get drapey, but much softer and softly wrinkled, a bit "gauzey". Not smooth and not at all like most Yukata; more like washed lightweight linen. 70% Cotton, 19.5% Nylon, 10.5% Hemp or Ramie. Japan.
14" wide and 56" long, this is the last of this excellent condition, unused, vintage bolt.
