Red/Black Camellias Yuki Tsumugi Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard #387

Sleek, smooth and crisp, this Yuki Tsumugi with certification label attached.  Orange-red, tan, white and green are all darkened a little by the extensive use of black in this ikat. This silk was woven in Yuki Prefecture which is well known for fine Tsumugi kimono Silk, designated as one of the UNESCO-listed Important Intangible Cultural Properties of Japan.  It's thin and a bit crisp, with a soft smooth surface. It's tightly woven, but even so, the pattern lines up perfectly.  A true ikat, both sides are just the same. 14" wide, sold by the full yard and we'll cut yours in one piece from the perfect condition, never used bolt. 100% Yuki Tsumugi Silk.
