Off-white, not bright white. This silk was tied with silk thread and no labels, inside a bolt of kimono fabrics, and we've opened it enough to see that it's in pieces, not an uncut bolt. We haven't unfolded it all the way to measure, but we think it might be cut-out but never used kimono lining pieces. There are various sizes of rectangles, as would be done for a kimono lining. So, that's our theory. It's very silky-smooth, high end, supple, flowy, drapey, with a bit of sheen, incredibly soft, as a finer kimono lining would be. Very tightly woven and nicer quality than habotai. The whole bundle weighs 12 ounces which could be quite a lot of silk, and we think it's double-wide, not just 14" but possibly 28-29", and maybe 4-6 yards of silk. It looks like there are some large pieces similar to kimono sized pieces or even larger. But you're taking a gamble; all these are just educated guesses. There are some spots on one of the outer folds, shown in the last photo. Otherwise we think it's in great condition from what we can tell. You'll get the bundle which folded is 14" x 5" x 1" and 12 ounces. Many of our fine light silks weigh just an ounce per 14" wide yard, so we are hoping this is a great deal for you. 100% Silk. Japan.
