The entire design is done in the ikat weave of this old, excellent condition Tsumugi silk from Japan. Slubby and textured, there is a bit of black in the weave as well as reds, golds, and greens. Most of the slubs are dark wine silk. This silk is lightweight and thin but not drapey; and not quite crisp. It does have some body. A piece from a decades-old kimono, rescued for you to use. It has all the hallmarks of being handwoven. A true ikat, both sides are the same. The last 2 photos show the border which we're not including in the 73" measurement; it's free. This vintage silk is in pristine condition. One of a kind exceptional. 100% Silk. Japan.
