Folk Art Copper Patina Chirimen Crepe Kimono Silk 6.5" x 14" #4294

All the colors seem bathed in old sepia or copper, even the purples, greens, reds and blues. The larger flowers - perhaps peonies  - are finely detailed and shaded, and everything else has an almost primitive style, with wide sepia outlining. This vintage chirimen crepe is very pebbly with lots of texture, a dry, grainy hand, liquid drape and no shine at all.  This vintage silk comes from a former life as a kimono and is in excellent condition.
