A Tsumugi handwoven treasure; probably older than vintage, with the label still attached certifying it's a Handwoven Oshima Tsumugi 100% Silk. Muted purple with off-white ikat characters in a grid pattern, very finely done in the weave. This silk is thin and mid-light-weight, with a bit of body, a smooth surface, no shine and not much drape. It's been carefully stored, never used; in excellent condition. A true ikat, both sides are the same. 100% Silk. Japan. Lucky you; these treasures are getting harder to find in our experience.

14" wide. Sold by the full yard and we'll cut yours in one continuous piece from the bolt. The portion with the Oshima Tsumugi label and fringe has sold but shown here for your reference.
