SALE - Birds, Bright Rustic Folk Art Vintage Sari, 42" x 6+ yards, #SR46

This semi-sheer sari is a little over six yards of light, fine, flowy, soft silk or silk blend, from India. The Main, 5-yard portion is 42" wide, of which 10" is a wide border with the bright bird, including peacocks, and village print along one selvedge. Then it is just black to the other selvedge. That's five yards of the sari.  The fancier, Pallu portion is about 33" on one end, and is the green, red, yellow and tan folk-art-look village and birds print over all.  This vintage sari is in "pretty good" condition but is definitely not new, possibly older than vintage, and a bit rustic: the black isn't perfectly dyed on the back - there are white streaks. Luckily even though the fabric is quite light and sheer, the black on the front is fine. There are a few imperfections and small spots but in general pretty good, no rips and nothing serious in our opinion. The print is so dynamic and joyous, you may not notice the imperfections. We think it's silk or a silk blend, with a fine diagonal rib in the weave; it's supple, light, soft and a bit sheer.  The print is marvelously full of soaring birds, peacocks, colorful houses and palm trees.
