2.5-yard PIECE Hana, Tropical Turquoise/Lime Artisan Tie Dye Rayon Challis from India, #HB-273

This rayon challis is lightweight, soft and drapey, cool to the touch with a matte finish.  It's hand-dyed by a fabric artisan in India, so there is no repeat.  Perfect for warmer-weather and tropical-climate shirts, blouses, dresses, tops, skirts, pants, shorts, robes, pj's, shawls, scarves, less-structured jackets and ponchos. Rayon challis is woven not knit, so it doesn't stretch. Even though it's drapey, it's quite easy to sew, breathable, easy-care. Beloved in the tropics - turquoise, limes, yellow-greens, purples, all bright. Front and back are nearly identical; the front is a bit more intense and sharp.  100% Rayon. India.

Cool wash and machine dry low, or air dry. Pre-treat before sewing - almost all rayon shrinks quite a bit. If you don't over-dry it, usually rayon challis comes from the dryer unwrinkled, newly fluffed and ready to wear. Test a swatch first.
