With the combination of old and new techniques, and present day materials, they are a rebirth of a button style not seen in nearly a century. Each Shimmering Lacy Glass button has been individually reverse painted to perfection, with a clear coat, then baked. They achieve an artistry in color and design rarely seen in today's buttons. We hand-picked each one on a recent visit to Susan Clarke's studio in California, and they are absolutely stunning. Large, 1-1/4" diameter. Shank back with 2mm opening, so the depth of the button is around 1/4". Launder with care. Paint is permanent;  glass is breakable.
