Tawny Red Port Yarn Dyed 'Plaid' Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard, #102

Yarn dyed plaid with muted red, yellow, navy, teal, pink and purple. This silk is lightweight, thin, sleek, soft, smooth and slightly slippery/shiny.  It has a bit of body and is a little crisp, with no drape. It's higher end and, tightly woven, and rustles. Back and front are just the same. It may have been designed for kimono rain coats or linings in Japan.  14" wide and sold by the full yard.
