Thicker, softer, fluffier and more textured than double gauze, this cotton is three layers of off-white/pale ivory, light, sheer open gauze, tacked together with fine loose cotton stitches. Then it's washed, so it's even more textured, airy and fluffy. Beautiful finished selvedges with a cotton ribbon-like trim, turned and stitched down. This type of cotton, being so soft and absorbent, is often used for baby blankets and soft towels in Japan.  Dyers love it. Will probably shrink and texturize further with more washing over time. Mid weight; each yard is about 7 ounces. Last photos show each layer.  New not vintage.  Order "1" per HALF yard and yours will be in one piece. 100% Cotton, 30" wide, Osaka, Japan.  If you need a small swatch let us know; triple gauze is rare and a little hard to envision.

Wash by itself in cool water, hang to dry, re-shape before fully dry.
