Dark blue-purple-blueberry plus off-white cross-dye, in a geometric with waves and swirls, slubby silk from Japan. It reads as muted grayish purple. It's quite thin and light, probably woven to be a summer kimono. The fibers in the weave vary so much in thickness that this silk is very textured and interesting. No shine at all, a bit crisp, not drapey. The back does not show the grid design; just the slubby background weave which is just the same as the front. 100% Silk, 14" wide, sold by the full yard, and we'll cut yours in one piece to your order, from the unused vintage bolt.
