Genuine traditional Noren panel, to use for curtains in doorways or windows, wall hangings, apparel, embellishment, quilts and other bedding, pillows, shirts and jackets. Perhaps you'll add sashiko, beading or embroidery? 100% cotton is lightweight, soft, supple not crisp, higher end, with a multiple-blue linen-look texture that is really nice. The navy color is consistent - we apologize if some of the photos look like it changes from lighter to darker. The traditional Japanese artwork was hand screened in Japan. The rabbits and tops of the waves are off-white with metallic gold outlining. The design is only on one side; on the back the dyes don't come through all the way.
Each panel is 19" x 44" per the photo marked "One Panel". The image itself, from the top of the higher bunny to the bottom of the waves, is about 17" x 32". We'll cut your panel(s) from the 44"-wide roll of panels; you'll have selvedges top and bottom and cut edges on each side. If you order more than one, your piece will be continuous and there are two tiny white marks showing you where to make your cuts, shown at the top of the last photo. New, not vintage. 100% Cotton. Hand wash gently in cold water or by machine, cold/delicate. Hang to air dry.
