Cascades Vintage Kimono Pure Silk Crinkle Jacquard from Japan 7" x 56" #4272

Long diagonals carry shibori designs like a waterfall in the sun. The base jacquard adds glisten, and the shibori work adds soft crinkles. The background is white, with some pearly iridescence. All the colors are a bit muted, not bright. There are pale silvery gray long sleek shapes carrying some of the shibories. The back is mostly white; much of the color doesn't come through. This silk is lightweight, flowy, soft, supple and drapey.  This vintage kimono silk was formerly part of a kimono and is in excellent condition. The last 3 photos show the original 14" width; these pieces are half that wide.  100% Silk. Japan.
