This classic handwoven Tsumugi is made from slubby, soft raw silk that's a little thicker than most of our kimono silks. It's very soft, not crisp or sleek, with body and no drape. Front and back are just the same. Like many vintage fabrics, in some areas It doesn't lie perfectly flat as you can see in the photos. 100% Silk in beautiful condition; may be quite old. One of a kind, handwoven in Japan. 14" wide and sold by the full yard - we'll cut yours in one piece to the length you order from the vintage, unused bolt. If you're first you'll also get the fringe and border for no charge.
