LAST 3/4 Yard, Amethyst Hand-Dyed Drapey Dusty Speckles/Pleats Vintage Kimono Silk From Japan #257
Various muted purple tones changing and blending similar to tie dye and/or salt and/or ice-dye, crinkly micro pleats, and an overall connected diamonds jacquard in the base silk. We think it's bokashi hand dyed with other techniques too; we don't see any areas that exactly match. This silk is thin, lightweight, flowy, textured, and feels like a crepe weave - no shine and a dry hand with liquid drape. It's very supple. Both sides are beautiful; one has deeper crinkles and more spots, and the other is smoother with more tie-dye look and a stronger diamond jacquard. The last two photos show the same portion, front and back. 14" wide, 100% silk from Japan, in perfect condition. This vintage kimono silk is sold by the full yard and we'll cut yours in one long piece from the vintage, never-used artisan-dyed bolt.
