Set of four buttons. They were made from pieces of pottery, probably terra cotta pots, tumbled in the sea for probably a very long time, before Laura found them on a beach in Maine and made them into two-hole buttons.  Smooth and naturally gorgeous. The photos show the exact four buttons you'll get. No two the same, about 1.25-1.5" the long side. 

Sea Buttons - wildly beautiful. Each is made from pottery, a stone or a piece of sea glass found on the beaches of Maine by artist Laura Pierce. Never altered in any way,(except drilling the holes for sewing onto your sweater, handbag, coat, etc), these are real ocean treasures. She says it is a challenge and a reward to work with what nature tosses into her path, and that her goal is to convey the wildness and freedom of the sea to the wearer.
