Lapis Lazuli Beads, Round 4mm, 15" Strand # L520

Dark, vibrant, rich true lapis lazuli, gleaming and sparkly, smooth without facets.  Brilliant royal blues, a few marbled with veins of gray-white calcite.  Sold per strand 15-16" long, about 77 beads per strand   Afghanistan and/or Pakistan.  They are stunning. 

Lapis is also known as Lapis Lazuli. The mineral lazurite is the main component of lapis and accounts for the stone’s intense blue color. Lapis is a metamorphic rock and may also contain pyrite, calcite, sodalite, and hauyne.
