SALE, Silk Sari, Red and Black Peacocks with Bright Gold, 44" x 207", #SR38

5-3/4 yards of liquid drape silk, with crisp line art of large (12" x 12") peacocks and their mating dance, elephants, people, a little red animal possibly a fox. Soft silk, very supple and flowy, with a slight shine. The fancy end with large peacocks is about 30" of the length, the rest is the smaller print with people, flowers, animals.  On the back, the print shows through almost as strongly; you can barely tell the difference and both sides are lovely. This vintage sari weighs 15 ounces and is in excellent condition, never or very lightly worn. The base silk has a very subtle satin stripe in the weave. For beautiful scarves, blouses, skirts, dresses, flowy pants, robes, sleepwear, linings, quilts, etc... 100% Silk. India.
