Deep red wine silk with stripes in white and yellow, geometric ikat designs in red, yellow and green. The white of the flowers is woven with gold and red creating a diffused white. Very soft and slubby; feels like thick silk noil. It has fine slubs and no shine. It has wonderful handwoven character and texture from the slubs and is a bit heavier than most kimono silks, with some body. 10" between rows of flowers. It's a true ikat so it is the same front and back. Vintage unused kimono silk from Japan in excellent condition.
