SALE Purple/Green/Starry Night Vintage Silk Crepe Sari, 40" x 5 yards, #SR43

This sari is 5 yards of supple, light, fine, flowy, very drapey, silk crepe from India.  The green and purple on the main portion, which is about 4 - 1/3 yards, looks to be hand dyed, we don't see a repeat. That portion has a sparkly swirl design on one border and spaced-out sparkles in a grid pattern just halfway through its width; the other half has no sparkles ... maybe those areas didn't show when the sari was worn. The fancier portion, called Pallu, is the first 24" of this sari and has lots of sparkles: large flowers and leaves created with sparkles. They're not sewn-on sequins; they come through on both sides and seem somehow attached permanently to the crepe. They're very tiny, and you can barely feel them, like sparkly silver confetti. This vintage sari is in quite good condition, probably lightly worn. The silk is thin, fine, light, classic lightweight crepe, drapey, flowy, very soft and supple. It's almsot opaque  - just slightly sheer. For scarves, blouses, skirts, dresses, flowy pants, robes, sleepwear, linings, etc... 100% Silk. India. Weight about 14 ounces.
