SALE, Blue/White Shibori Squares Silk/Cotton from India By the Yard # TK-53
From a co-op of textile artisans in India, with indigo color drifting into the white diamonds quite often, creating interesting lighter blue patterns. The shibori artists have taken inspiration from wind-blown wavy patterns in the sand. So, no two diamonds will match in size, shape, distance from the others, or color. Some of the shibori stripes are a bit wavy; in some areas they are more straight. Finely woven, thin and light, less than 3 ounces per 42" wide yard. It's only slightly drapey, and a little see-through, with no sheen and no slubs. In India this cotton/silk is often made into sarees, shawls, and scarves. They do not specify the percentages of silk and cotton, not surprising for India, but we're guessing 50/50. It would also be wonderful for windows and beds, linings, all types of apparel and accessories. Limited supply one of a kind, hand dyed artisan fabric. Rajasthan, India. Dry clean.
Silk/Cotton, 42" wide and sold by the full yard. It is in two 2-yard pieces. So if you need 3 or 4 yards it will be in two pieces. If you need 1 or 2 yards it will be on piece.
