This short 'bolt' of silk was meant to be the lining fabric for the lower part of a kimono.  The rich rust bokashi gradation design is placed to fit the kimono once sewn. This stunning silk crepe is very lightweight, soft, supple, drapey, flowy; a dream!  It's a very fine silk crepe, almost white-white but barely creamy. It has a gorgeous lustre and liquid drape. Whisper light, it weighs just 4-1/2 ounces for all 4.4 yards. We are told each bokashi is done by hand, no two exactly alike. The back is almost as intense in color; you can barely tell the difference.

See the last photo.  The largest bokashi area is around 58" long, followed by about 22" plain white, 10" bokashi, 40" white, 10" bokashi, 21" white. So, about half is white, half has the rust bokashi design. Order "1" for the piece. 100% Silk. Never used in excellent condition. Japan.
