Black, golden mustard and gray on natural beige background. 100% Cotton, it's lightweight, flowy, soft and drapey, a little rustic, authentic hand printed mul / voile from India. New not vintage, and as you can see the artwork isn't perfectly lined up which is often the case with true hand block prints.

This type of Kalamkari is done with a labor intensive process, vegetable dyes and block printing and sometimes also hand painting. They are one of the more difficult types of block printing, and have a history dating back to the 1500's. This one was produced in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It has a unique visual and spiritual beauty.

Gently hand wash in cold water with mild detergent, and avoid soaking for too long. Excess natural colors may bleed when washed for the first time. Hang to dry.
