This silk is thick, stiff and heavy, like heavy canvas. The large rose bud design is in the weave, in bright lime, yellow and beige. The solid green areas have lots of yellow melange/misting, also in the weave, not printed. Rustic, slubby, we assume hand woven, with no shine at all. It does not willingly lie totally flat. 12" wide pure silk, intended to be made into a Nagoya obi but never used as such. You'll get the whole 5.25 yard bolt. (So, order "1")

Here is how it lays out: First 1" pretty fringe. Then 48" green with no design. Then 82" of the design, with five large rose buds. Then 54" green with no design. Then 5" of the design again, at the end. So, about 190" long and 12" wide, 5.25 yards. Age unknown. 100% very thick heavy silk. Japan.
