Off white/ivory silk feels almost like thick cotton canvas and it has a subtle crinkly texture. The weave is stunning, bright and strong. This is for the entire bolt of unused, vintage obi fabric. It's a it more than 12" wide. The first 46" is the calm portion, with a wide gold and pale green stripe. The next 80" is the bright diamonds and arrows. The last 57" is the calm portion. The back side may be telling us this is technically a brocade; or a partially hand embroidered brocade. 11" wide, in great condition. You're getting the entire 5-yard piece. Heavy, stiff, thick obi silk, age unknown, Japan.
