Navy Blues Silk/Cotton Shibori Undulating Stripes from India By the Yard # TK-51
Blended blues and nearly white, with diagonal, tipsy, wavy, always-changing stripes. The shibori artists have taken inspiration from their nearby deserts, where the wind creates wavy patterns in the sand. The hand-dyed shibori stripes vary in spacing, waviness, sharpness, thickness, etc. Finely woven, thin and light, less than 3 ounces per 42" wide yard. It's only slightly drapey, and a little see-through, no sheen, no slubs. Both sides look and feel the same. In India this cotton/silk is often made into sarees, shawls, and scarves. It would also be wonderful for windows and beds, linings, all types of apparel and accessories. Limited supply one of a kind artisan fabric. Rajasthan, India. Dry clean.
