Remnant, 'Pleat Plaid Shibori Indigo' Art Cotton Print by Kim Eichler-Messmer, 44" Wide, 33" Long # 1453
Quilting cotton with a hand-dyed, shibori look, designed by Textile, Quilting, Dyeing and Shibori Artist and Instructor Kim Eichler-Messmer. Digitally printed on high quality quilting cotton from Pakistan, using images of her hand dyed shibori pieces. Kim says: "When I was first learning how to dye fabric in college, I was amazed by how many different patterns and textures I could make through the process of shibori - the Japanese art of folding, tying, wrapping, or otherwise manipulating fabric to resist dye. The love and fascination has never left me. No two fabrics are ever the same. This collection of fabrics is taken directly from my dye studio and some of my favorite fabrics that I have dyed." She calls this one Pleat Plaid Shibori Indigo. It's digitally printed on smooth, tightly woven, mid-weight quilting cotton, 44/45" wide. It's not true shibori. The printy has a faded boro/old denim look. 100% Cotton.
Good for shirts, tops and other clothing, bags and other accessories, pillows, quilting, curtains and anything else you'd use quality quilting cotton for. Machine wash cold, delicate, tumble dry low. No bleach.
