From tagua nut, a.k.a. corozo, a tree whose nut makes durable, smooth natural buttons. They carve and dye perfectly. These buttons are pure rich black 5/8" diameter, almost 11/16", and about 1/8" thick. Satin finish. Rounded, not sharp, edges. Wash and dry by machine; they're as tough as plastic, but with a much nicer look in our opinion. Price per button.
