Exceptional silk from Japan; the jacquard patterns are abstract, several different weaves in different shine-patterns, which seem like smoke or clouds, morning mist moving in the mountains. The deep orange blending to nearly black feels like lava; the intensity and fiery purple-blacks they make! Created by reverse dying fine lines and dots to white, the plants reach up to see it all. Drapey, supple, flowy, lightweight, soft silk. Vintage pure silk from its former life as parts of a kimono, in perfect condition. Japan.
