Undulating Stripes Vintage Kimono Silk by the Yard #4308
The background is not pale pink or ivory; it's very light peach. The red-orange, olive and bronze-caramel handpainted stripes sometimes touch and blend together as if in water. There are 13 stripes across the width, running throughout the length. The base silk has inwoven seersucker-like stripes in both directions, which vary from very thin to almost 1/4" wide and similar to crinkly ribbon. The back looks almost identical; the dye has gone through. Supple, drapey, flowy, lightweight silk from the vintage, never used, excellent condition bolt. 14" wide, 100% silk, sold by the full yard. We'll cut yours in one piece. Japan.
