Two Reds Sage Ikat Vintage Kimono Silk By the Yard #733

Dark wine red, brighter and lighter orange-red chile, sage green and light gray-blue, in this handwoven, exquisite ikat. The green isn't towards yellow; it's the perfect sage, touched with gray. The feathery edges are like a meisen effect, but this silk has more softness, 'fluff', and rustic texture than meisen. It's a bit rustic, and pure art. Thin, tightly woven, higher end, soft, very much like dupioni, with a few slubs, very slight sheen and bit of body. A true ikat, so both sides look the same.  It's in pristine condition, sold by the full yard and yours will be in one piece, cut from the never-used vintage bolt. 100% Silk, 14" wide. Japan.
