Crane, Ocean, Turtle Vintage Tea Ceremony Fukusa - Set of 3 Embroidered Silk. #760

Set of three heavy silk Fukusa, designed to be used for gift wrapping or tea ceremony.  Heavily embroidered and quite ornate, the crane flies in front of a bright red-orange sun, greeting the turtle who is dripping water, having just climbed from the sea. Gold tassels. On the back, each is lined with bright red-orange heavy silk with a large embroidered metallic gold flower in the center. They seem quite old; there is one tassel missing from the smallest one and they would probably like to be cleaned, but otherwise are in excellent condition; we see no tears, weak spots or stains.  The large one is 25" x 27". The middle one is 19.5" x 21". The baby is 12" x 13".   You'll get all 3; order "1" for the set. We've seen pillows made from fukusa; you would open up one seam since they're completely sewn shut. 100% Silk. Japan.
