Still-Tied BOLT of Vintage Japanese Kimono Cotton Stripe #248

  • $62.00

Yarn dyed cotton stripe kimono cotton in subdued tones: two blues, two mustards, grey and red. This cotton stripe is 14" wide, still tightly rolled and tied with floss and an olive green label. It's so tight we can't take a peek to learn much about it, but the condition from what we can tell is excellent. The cotton is soft and seems to be mid-lightweight. It's most likely 12.5 yards, the amount used in Japan for one kimono. (It's folded so tightly we can't accurately could the layers of selvedge on the ends but there are alot of them.) This bolt measures 14" x 4.5" x 1.25" and weighs 15 ounces. Order "1" for the whole bolt; we're not selling this by the yard. The price works out to $4.80 per yard for this soft, yarn dyed Japanese cotton.
