In India, Mulmul is known as Woven Wind; it's so fine and cool. This black Mulmul 100% cotton voile is very lightweight - one yard weighs 2.2 ounces. It's soft, airy and a bit sheer. Such lightweight cotton can be hard to come by. Limited supply 100% cotton from India.

Some care for their Indian cottons by hand washing in cool water separately and drying in the shade. Others have had good success machine washing and drying cool or warm, so test first and find what works for you and the particular fabric. This cotton will shrink, and will may soften even more (which seems impossible; it's already so soft).
