Silk "Stiches" Jacquard Vintage Lilac Kimono Silk from Japan, By the Yard #371
The fine 'lasso rope' lines in the jacquard look like lilac silk stitches from a sewing machine, and they form endless softly curving loops through this silk, with the enclosed spaces in various subtle decorative weaves. There are waves, ribs, grids, stripes, solid satin glisten, and many with the same plain weave as the base silk. There are no flowers. The lasso loops seem like they are designed to be almost infinite, some going off the selvedge but then returning again for more loops; your eye can tell it's the same one. If any of our photos have gray areas, ignore it please, that's just the camera confused by the texture and 'layers'. The color is actually perfectly even and smooth. Lightweight, flowy, soft, liquid drape, supple silk in beautiful condition. 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours from the vintage bolt. Japan.
