Silk Sari, Paprika/Ochre/Green Vintage Ornate Saree, Birds/Flowers 41" x 216", #SR39

6 yards of light, fine, liquid drape silk, with a block print style print.  There are thousands of flowers and leaves on ivory- cream background for the 'Main Portion, which is 5 yards.  The one yard at the end that is the fancier, 'pallu' portion, has tall portraits or windows, with peacocks at the bottom of a gigantic opulent flower-laden tree, with rich paprika backgrounds. Each curvy 'window' is about 12" across x 23" tall and there are three full ones and two halves, across the width.  This vintage sari weighs less than 9 ounces - light!  It is in excellent condition, probably very lightly worn. The silk is thin, fine, light, drapey, flowy, very soft and supple, like what we know as China Silk. The ivory-cream background is even and consistent, even if the photos look off a bit. The print is gorgeous and well executed. For beautiful scarves, blouses, skirts, dresses, flowy pants, robes, sleepwear, linings, etc... 100% Silk. India.
