The reds in this silk play with the light in extraordinary ways, getting darker and richer and with more playfully stitched flowers appearing within the hexagons. The outline of each hexagon is woven to look and feel like fine silk ribbon. This silk a masterpiece of weaving and color. It's a very supple crepe and the patterns are simple but strong. Everything works so beautifully together. Liquid drape, many reds from rich to richer, satin areas and crepe areas. Pure silk from a former life as a dynamic kimono, in perfect condition. Japan.
