Red "Kasuri Ikat" Vintage Kimono Fabric Wool Blend from Japan by the Yard # 527

Red and cream plus an apricot tone in the faux ikat figures, this woven wool blend is thin and light and kasuri-like but is actually a print. On the back, it's just the smooth, slubby red and cream cross-weave, without the faux kasuri printed design. It's 75% wool/25% poly, and feels smooth, more like a wool/silk blend in our opinion. It could also be mistaken for cotton. The red and cream together read as light red, and the two colors do stand out because the weave is loose. To us, the light weight of the fabric gives it a warmer-weather feel and look.  14" wide, sold and cut by the full yard; yours will be in one continuous piece from the never-used, excellent condition vintage bolt.  Japan.
