Red Dot Curves Vintage Kimono Silk Jacquard 14" x 27" #4471

Curving strips of indigo with red dots and lines, meeting the surrounding strips. It's done with a complex jacquard of different weaves, then over-dyed with red and magenta, and from a distance reads as blue-violet.  The red and magenta areas are slightly raised, and pop more as the light changes. Supple, flowy, drapey, lightweight, soft pure silk in beautiful condition. These pieces had a former life as parts of a kimono.   Japan.
