Midnight Navy/Black Hexagon-Weave Vintage Kimono Kikko Wool By the Yard #26623
Blue and black wool fibers combine to create tiny woven hexagons. In Japan hexagons are known as “Kikko” (turtle's shell) and are a well-known symbol of good fortune. They reflect wishes for eternal youth, longevity, prosperity and wealth. This 100% kimono wool from Japan is thin yet strong and soft, with a bit of body and crispness and no shine. It is not scratchy/itchy at all and so soft we can't help but wonder if it's a wool/silk blend. It is in excellent condition and reads from a distance as dark midnight navy blue. 15" wide unused vintage kimono wool from Japan.
