The rows of shibori dots are connected by white smaller dots, which make flower patterns from triangles. The rows vary in distance apart as they progress across the width. The result is dramatic, in this liquid drape, true black and true white supple, sleek silk. There is a base jacquard of interlocking rectangles that is invisible from the front but it adds dimension and drape. The texture is softly bumpy, extremely soft and flowy with a bit of shine. The back is mostly white. Vintage kimono silk in perfect condition from its former life as a kimono. Japan.
