'Bali' Sepia Coral Finely Detailed Print, Kimono Silk By the Yard #337
Black, brown and dusty coral with thousands of tiny white dots, spots, patterns and flecks, combine to make a most exquisite, dreamlike, detailed print. None of the colors are bright - there is no orange - it's a muddy dusty tawny coral-rose. Overall it reads as brick red, tribal but also fine and ornate. That last photo shows the end of the bolt and how this silk was overdyed with coral after the rest of the print was done. The silk is lightweight, thin, smooth and lustrous, much like an Oshima Silk, or a Liberty Tana Lawn Cotton, in its smoothness and softness. On the back, the print barely comes through so it's mostly beige. 14" wide, in perfect condition. Sold by the full yard and we'll cut yours in one long piece from the never-used vintage bolt. Extraordinary. 100% Silk. Japan.
