Indigo/Cream Currents & Flowers Jacquard Kimono Silk Pieces, 7" x 57" #3895
A jacquard of graceful grasses creates the base silk, which gives the front a satin sheen. The print depicts streams and ponds, with red-orange, gold, soft purple and green blossoms and leaves floating on almost-white. The indigo water portions have different symbols; currents, waves, hexagons. The back is almost white; the print barely shows and you can see the details of the jacquard. This silk used to be parts of a formal kimono. Vintage jacquard silk in pristine condition from Japan.
